‘Light mint, coffee and earthy notes on the nose. The palate is medium weight with soft black fruits, charry and smokey characters. Tightly structured with a fine tannin finish’.
A ‘classic’ blend of these 2 varieties both these components were machine harvested, crushed and fermented in stainless steel vessels. Pressing was performed by the ‘traditional’ basket press to preserve the delicate fruit characters from this vintage and minimise harsh tannins.
18 months maturation in 1-4 year old French oak barrels has preserved the fruit characters and ensures this wine is soft and drinks well at a young age.
